This seasonal Community Festival (Comfest) takes place in Columbus, Ohio in late June. The purpose of Comfest is to bring together and celebrate the community of Columbus. The current look of Comfest was researched including the identity of the festival. Since the purpose of Comfest centers around the community, representation of people were used in the identity. Within the festival there are different types of events and attractions. As a result, the identity is an interchangeable four color identity. Each color represents a different section of the festival. The four sections are Healing (Orange), Culture (Green), Arts (Pink) and Music (Cyan).
On the back of each business card is half of the Comfest logo. When put together they complete the logotype. Each color relates to a section of Comfest.
Below is a poster (23 x 16in) for the event that could be divided into 4 smaller posters each highlighting a section of Comfest. This was a collaboration with Teresa Franklin-Kern while attending the University of Applied Arts in Germany.

When people first meet me they think I'm generally quiet, but they eventually find out that I cackle when I laugh real hard. I find it very satisfying to use the canned air spray to clean all the dust from my keyboard. I grew up in Ohio but now live in New York City. I still call Coke pop.
Design is a lifestyle. It's a culmination of everything experienced in life and in that way, design relates to everything. Letterpress printing, traveling, typography, sewing, social design, I'm interested in it all. Design is an opportunity to always be learning, trying, working, exploring, creating. . .
